I first met Angelina and Zion at the Woodlands Andergrove Family Day in September last year. When Zion turned one, Angelina and Scott wanted to document her at this age, with a family session, and I was happy to be asked to do it.
Due to sketchy weather, and illness, we had a few stop-starts in making the session happen, but I'm so glad we finally got to do it, and the weather played ball with a beautiful sunny afternoon at McGregors Farm. The moment I said we were done, the sky then proceeded to open up, and as we ran back to the cars, we ended up being cooled off in the rain that came out of nowhere.
We started the session down in the creek bed, and Zion loved showing us the rocks and plants she found. The little crossed legs while sitting on the rock... adorable.
We then headed out to the open paddocks, and the gorgeous long grass, where we had some onlookers in the form of two goats, and two pigs. As you can imagine Zion was may more fascinated in them, then she was in me. I don't take it personally.
Both Angelina and Scott have these tattoos on their hands. One side for Zion, and one size for each other. Zion was quite the little speedster when we got her walking.
And I'll end with my favourite image of the session. Throughout the session Angelina and Scott's love for each other and Zion was obvious, but I love this little moment between mother and daughter.
